Introduction

Part 2 of this course examines how people can come together and support someone in their accountability work, focusing on a structure called an "accountability pod" that is organized with the goal of making change more likely and accountability more successful. In this section, we will:

  • Reflect on what kind of support is helpful for accountability work.
  • Define accountability pods and explore how you may set one up.
  • Examine what actions pod members should and should not take.
  • Detail the skills pod members should have (including centering consent, trauma-informed practices, being able to set and respect boundaries, and communication skills).
  • Explore best practices for information handling as it relates to accountability processes.
  • Provide templates for documenting accountability work done with the support of a pod.
